STEELEX CONCERTINA ENCLOSURES



The Steelex Series 2 and 3 range of direct drive blast wheels are high efficiency units mounted on a heavy duty 20mm thick base plate with a heavy duty cast iron frame TEFC flange mounted motor.


High abrasive flow rates per motor kW and ease of maintenance give low surface preparation costs.


The Series 2 and 3 Blast Wheels are supplied as standard on all our new blasting machines and are also available separately for retrofitting to your existing blast machine

The maintenance friendly design allows for many for parts to be replaced with out the need to remove the wheel hood.


The cast wheel parts are hardened to HRC 60+ and all rotating parts are dynamically balanced. The blast wheel motor is protected from the abrasive by the Steelex Twin Steel Seal System. Blast pattern adjustment is easily done by rotating the dispencer housing from the outside of the blast wheel.

  • Hood Liners : Cast 18-20% Chrome Iron Alloy hardened to HRC 60+
  • Hood End Wear Plates : Machined Special Alloy hardened to HRC 60+
  • Blast Wheel : Machined Special Alloy hardened to HRC 60+ and dynamically balanced
  • Dispencer Housing : Shell Moulded 18-20% Chrome Iron Alloy with 1.5% Moly hardened to HRC 60+
  • Dispencer : Shell Moulded 18-20% Chrome Iron Alloy with 1.5% Moly hardened to HRC 60+
  • Feed Chute : Cast and hardened to HRC 50+
  • Blast Wheel Motor : Heavy Duty Cast Iron Frame EFF 2 foot mounted motor
